The book of Jonah reminds us that death and destruction are never "good." The death of any person -- good or evil, sinner or saint -- is never a thing to be celebrated, because we worship "a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love, and read to relent from punishing." No one is ever too far gone to receive God's mercy.
